Why is hogan in tna

TNA was a distant number two in comparison to WWE but the company was sustainable whilst doing its own thing. The move to Monday night was orchestrated by none other than Hulk Hogan. Hogan was hailed as the biggest signing in the history of the company by the executives and many of them were convinced that with Hogan along, TNA would finally triumph over the WWE.

There was one little problem. Hulk Hogan is certainly one of the biggest stars in the pro-wrestling industry and at one point, he transcended the business. However, that was the case back in the 80s and early 90s. Despite all the evidence to the contrary , Hogan was convinced that with him leading the charge, TNA was ready to put WWE on notice and so, in March of , TNA moved from Thursday to Monday on a permanent basis they previously did one special Monday episode in January. History was repeating itself, with Hogan and Bischoff once again competing against Vince McMahon but as TNA would quickly come to know, the shift from Thursday to Monday was a disaster of crippling proportions.

Despite all the excitement and the ever-changing atmosphere, TNA is clearly not where it should be. Instead, the company has its back against the wall, looking to find some momentum in its lackluster product.

With Hogan no longer currently with the company and Bischoff's status up in the air, TNA has another opportunity to change the wrongs to the rights. This includes going back to the basics and focusing on its young and fresh talents that are waiting for their next big break, changing its traditional four-sided ring to six sides and allowing more television time for its highly talented X and Knockouts divisions.

Instead, after showing such promise and hope, the company has nearly become a similar resemblance to the final years of World Championship Wrestling. During this period he feuded with Sting and Ric Flair -- just like the old days in WCW -- and also got into some family drama involving his daughter and Bully Ray. While many fans were happy to see Hulk Hogan, his TNA run was full of poor decisions and mishandling of the aging star, making him no different from most of the TNA roster in that respect.

When Hogan was hired to TNA alongside Eric Bischoff, he gained a surprising degree of backstage power, which included the ability to bring in talent. The only surprise here was that Hogan never got around to hiring Brutus Beefcake. Hogan ended up gifting his HOF ring to Abyss, which ended up giving the latter the increased powers associated with a pro wrestling mega-push.
